Metode Inside Out merupakan metode perancangan arsitektur yang menerapkan konsep ruang dalam dengan memasukkan suasana ruang luar sedangkan Metode Outside In menerapkan konsep ruang luar dengan memasukkan suasana ruang dalam. The BattleShip merupakan rancangan konsep untuk menerapkan kedua metode tersebut, menggunakan eksplorasi bentuk berupa penonjolan, melubangi, serta memasukkan massa dari sebuah ruang.
